Yesterday’s Sunday Board Game Social was yet another well-attended session in which a staggering number and variety of games were enjoyed by our avid bunch of players. It’s a perfect way to spend a Sunday!
Thanks again to everyone who comes along and makes these sessions so warm and wonderful. We have more room at our tables for new players, and our regulars are incredibly friendly and accommodating, so if you’re into board games (or fancy finding out why some of these games are so beloved) you should definitely come and join one of our sessions – Thursdays from 5 pm and Sundays from 12 noon.
Here are some of the games that were shared and enjoyed yesterday…
- BRISTOL 1350
- POINT CITY
- PIRATES OF MARACAIBO
- WALK THE PLANK
- SPLENDOR DUEL
- NO THANKS!
- DEAD MAN’S DRAW
- SO CLOVER!
- FORBIDDEN ISLAND
I also brought and taught several JAPAN-themed games…
- THE LEGEND OF THE CHERRY TREE THAT BLOSSOMS EVERY TEN YEARS (surely the longest game title ever!?)
- AGE OF WAR
- TAKENOKO (one of the Arena’s library games)
THE WHITE CASTLE (this beautiful game was all laid out – see pic – but unfortunately wasn’t played… but there might be a couple of spots available to play it on Thursday – let me know in the comments if you fancy joining)
…With a view to possibly running a future evening session dedicated to games with an Eastern theme/flavour… maybe with appropriate food and drink to be provided also. Let us know in the comments your thoughts on this.
In the meantime, have a fantastic week, and keep warm! See you on Thursday for another evening of Social gameplay!
